INTRODUCTION

Ingham Analytics (Pty) Ltd (“IA”) recognises the importance of protecting the personal information that you the Customer (“Customer”) provide us. Our Privacy Policy is described hereunder.

INFORMATION COLLECTION

2.1

IA collects information from the Customer across various points of contact on the IA website (“Site”). IA is the sole owner of the information collected on the Site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others.

2.2

Consent to collect information can be express (through an agreement) or implied (an opportunity provided to opt-out of information sharing but choosing to not do so, which by implication means that the Customer chooses to share information with IA).

2.3

IA processes personal information on a web hosting server domiciled in South Africa.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In the course of service provision to the Customer, IA may collect certain forms of information. The types of information that we may collect are as follows:

Information the Customer provides

When the Customer registers an account by completing the steps on the Site, IA asks for personal information (name, email address, and phone number). IA may use this information submitted voluntarily in order to provide a better experience and to improve the quality of the service.

Financial Information

As part of the registration process, the Payfast secure online payment gateway will request financial information, such as bank account number or credit card number. Such personal data is private and is a voluntary transactional arrangement between the Customer and Payfast. IA shall have no access to any Customer information provided to Payfast.

Cookies

IA may send cookies, which is a file containing a string of characters, to the computer of the Customer that uniquely identifies the browser of the Customer. IA use cookies to improve the quality of the service by storing user preferences or storing session information. Most browsers are set up to accept cookies, but the Customer can reset the browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. This is not advised as the service may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Log information

The IA server automatically records information that the browser sends whenever the Customer visits the IA website. These server logs may include information such as a web transaction, an Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of the transaction, and cookies that may uniquely identify the browser of the Customer.

User communications

When an email is sent to IA via info@inghamanalytics.com or via the Contact Us page on the Site, IA may retain this communication to process a query, respond to a query, and in so doing provide a better service.

Links

IA may present links in a format that enables IA to track these links and who followed them, either on the web site or in electronic communications. IA uses this information to improve the quality of the service.

Other sites

The IA Privacy Policy applies solely to IA.

HOW INFORMATION IS USED

4.1

IA collects Customer information for the following purposes:

Providing a better service to Customers.

Determining usership of the site and the volume of transactions Gathering data to audit, research, and analyse Customer preferences and activity on the Site.

4.2

IA will not collect or use information for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy unless we have obtained prior consent from the Customer.

COMMUNICATIONS

5.1

IA may include periodic information updates on the Site for the benefit of the Customer

INFORMATION SHARING

6.1

IA shall not share any sensitive information with external parties such as advertisers or data collection companies.

DATA INTEGRITY

IA processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. IA shall periodically review its data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that only data needed to provide or improve services is collected. IA takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal information collected is accurate, complete, and current. However, it is necessary for the Customer to ensure IA is provided with correct personal information as necessary.

INFORMATION SECURITY

8.1

IA takes rigorous security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data, and to protect against malicious intrusion on the IA Site.

CHANGE OF CONTROL

In the instance of a change in ownership, Customer information may be transferred to the acquiring party. IA shall endeavour to require the successor company to maintain this Privacy Policy, but IA cannot guarantee that this policy will remain in subsequent effect.

10.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

10.1

This Privacy Policy may be revised in time if new features are added to the Site or as circumstances dictate. In this event, IA shall place on the Site the revised Privacy Policy and date of revision.

10.2

IA is not obligated to inform the Customer of such changes when they happen, although it is more than likely that any changes will be minor I nature and would not fundamentally impact the Customer.

TERMS

12.1

The term Customer refers to all and any individuals accessing the Site for any reason whatsoever.

The term IA refers to Ingham Analytics and any and all individuals acting directly on behalf of IA.
